Lion Bold Artists Shined Last Weekend

Catie Ryan and Joshua Damian were on fire this past weekend, with back-to-back shows for each of them from October 14th through the 16th.

On October 14th, Joshua Damian did a solo performance at Lestat’s Coffee House, rousing the evening audience with renditions of cover songs like “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and “Sweet Caroline”. In fact, Joshua shared, “I did have one person from the crowd approach me after, telling me that I made her cry during ‘Can't Help Falling in Love’ by Elvis Presley. She said it was beautifully done and that she rarely cries, so good job.” Joshua also shared his original work, including “Runaway” and “Let’s Go”, and let us know that he’s hard at work writing some new tunes. Follow Joshua Damian on social media for the latest updates.

“This season...has really been pushing me to be stronger, [with] a strong desire to not let anyone think less of you during certain situations,” said Joshua, “So in my upcoming songs, I will dive deeper and bring out sides of me I wouldn't have felt comfortable showing before.”

On October 15th, Joshua joined fellow Lion Bold artist Catie Ryan on stage at a return performance at the ChuckAlek Biergarten in North Park. In addition to her crowd favorites, Catie was especially thrilled to debut “Old Friends Never Die,” “Not Too Far From You,” and “Creature With A Daydream” which are currently being recorded. “They were all well received, especially our blues/rock/funk song called ‘Creature with a Daydream’,” said Catie, “The crowd demanded us to play it again at the end and even sing along! Definitely a crowd favorite!”

On October 16th, Catie opened for comedian Dat Phan, and serenaded the waiting audience with her new material. She was just as excited to share her new pieces with fans at the performance.
