Going “Outside the Lines” of San Diego
This past Memorial Day weekend, Daniel Jay Woods and our Lion Bold team wrapped up the Bully Proof Tour with After Romeo and Be Only You.The last stop was Phoenix, AZ, where Daniel and the After Romeo boys played to an intimate crowd at the East Valley Institute of Technology in Mesa. The tour ended with a fond farewell, as Daniel sat among his fans on the steps of the stage in an impromptu acoustic session.
In addition to performances, Daniel and the Lion Bold team were featured in a short segment of the Money Millennial Club radio show which will air soon. Daniel also made an appearance on the local radio station 88.7 where they premiered his hit single “Falling Through The Sky” over the airwaves, and received tons of positive feedback from listeners around the Phoenix area. But while the tour ended in a smaller, more intimate way, Daniel Jay Woods reflected back on all the good times he had while on the road.
Daniel’s appearances covered five states and five cities, including Seattle, Boise, Denver, Salt Lake City, and Phoenix. When asked about his favorite part of the experience, he said, “The fans, of course. They’re so sweet and supportive, and I love talking to them and getting to know them.” This mutual love has begun to show in Daniel’s social media following, with his Instagram followers jumping up to over 2,500 followers!
Daniel is determined to keep pace with his newfound fans, adding, “You should really get to know your supporters, you know? That way it helps you [learn] what they support about you, so you can serve them with as much authenticity as possible...As an artist, you create yourself and your peers.”
But it wasn’t all about Daniel’s fans, of course. Most of them were followers of After Romeo, the hip and talented singing group with enough pop hits to fill your summer playlist. When asked about spending time with the outgoing members of After Romeo, Daniel stated, “They were really awesome. Their whole team were really kind and excited to have us on board...very supportive.”
As for regrets? Daniel only has one: the tight tour schedule. “It was a bummer that we couldn’t explore the cities very much,” said Daniel, “We were only there for a day [most of the time].”
This won’t be the end of Daniel’s touring days! Keep an eye on Lion Bold’s Facebook page or our Events page for upcoming performances and visits. Show your support by purchasing or streaming Daniel Jay Woods’ EP “Graffiti”, available on iTunes and Spotify. Lastly, in all that you do, make sure to be lion bold.
